Friday 9th and 10th of October 2015 was the Pink Ribbon Day street appeal. 300 area coordinators and 9000 volunteers were needed nationwide.
Pukekohe collectors had volunteered their time to help fight the battle of breast cancer by pinning a pink ribbon every time a donation was made. Pink donation buckets were situated around King Street and both Countdown North and South.
Volunteers collectors were all dressed up, some with pink wigs and matching sashes, donators were always greeted with a big smile and a thank you.
Congratulations and thanks for the volunteers and the good people of Pukekohe that gave up good coin for a pink ribbon.
