On Saturday 20th of August, the Torkar Bay Reserve at Clarks Beach was the setting for the 2016 Waiau Pa Hop.
Cars and people filled the small beachside area with shiny paint and chrome everywhere.
The Franklin Street Rodders club and Mitre 10 Pukekohe contributed to a 1500 ticket raffle of a trailer filled with non-perishable foodstuffs to raise funds for the Mauku Primary School.

The local Pukekohe Hot Rod Club held a fund raiser for the St Johns by a having a BBQ, donations and offering rides in American cars. The Sunday event raised $1000.
